Our young and professional staff will warmly welcome you and guide you through the tour with the help of modern audio guides available in 8 languages. Dressed in the costumes of imperial Rome, they daily welcome families, school parties and groups of up to a maximum of 70 people at a time, to take part in this amazing journey with departures every 15 minutes.
The length of your visit through the history of Rome depends solely on your curiosity and interest. Born from the interest in history and ancient cultures of Bernard Frischer, an American professor from the University of Virginia, the archaeological model of Rome in 310 AD was developed by Virtuality srl with the help of a group of international experts and through the research and modelling work of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
The structure, with its modern technology and special effects, was developed with faithful adherence to Prof. Frischer’s aim, which was to ensure that the scenery and images of 3D Rewind Rome adhere as nearly as possible to the actual appearance of the original imperial Forum of ancient Rome. Spread over more than 3 thousand square metres, following accurately defined virtual walks, you’ll find 7000 buildings, all carefully reconstructed with full detail. So much so, that the 3D film is worth at least a second viewing in order to fully appreciate its perfection. Drawings, jewellery, and even children’s toys: everything has been reconstructed in such a faithful way.
This represents the true strength of this film, which, though certainly not the first to attempt to recreate the splendour of the Roman Empire, can certainly be considered ready to withstand the critical scrutiny even of those most prepared and passionate about archaeology.
