Rome, 14th of December 2010 –With the aim to follow the evolution of technology and the changing of the demand, 3DRewind Rome, the Virtual Museum on Ancient Rome just 2 steps away from Colosseum, from february 2011 adds new recreational and didactics experiences that will make the journey through the history of Ancient Rome more fascinating and appealing, always in its interactive approach. These are the news and upcoming deadlines:
December 2010
Rediscover your past of Ancient Roman
Visitors will be welcomed by our staff, dressed up in ancient Roman clothes, which will give them a short quiz with multiple choice questions regarding history, customs, monuments of Ancient Rome. Visitors will be helped for answers with provided clues that they can touch or see inside the room. There will be also available a version for children (8-12 years) which allows easy learning of basic Roman history with the help of games and images.
After ending the quiz, visitors will be accompanied by our staff in a virtual trail under the Colosseum and over, in the Ancient Rome of the 310 AD. At the end of this journey Julius Caesar, a very special virtual guide, interacts with the public in English and Italian announcing the quiz’ winners. For those who answered correctly to most of the questions will wear the wreath and dress as a Senator, Emperor, Gladiator, Legionnaire, Empress, Maid, Lady and receive a photo as a souvenir. Whoever answered correctly to all questions will also have the chance to get immediately a valuable prize.
Anachronisms of Ancient Rome
Using touch screen, visitors can achieve “Roman citizenship" through a game with 3 levels (Citizen, Senator, Emperor), improving their knowledge of Ancient Rome. At the end of the educational game, visitors can add their name or nick name, nationality and e-mail, so that they will receive, in their mail box, a certificate of "Citizen of Rome".

The chariot race at Circus Maximus
Thanks to a scale 1:400 reconstruction of the famous Circus Maximus, visitors will undertake a test of speed and skill, to make their chariot win. All of them will have to show their knowledge of Rome during 310 AD (questions are related to what they have learned through watching the movie in 3D). The game will last about 5 minutes. Winners will receive a 3DRewind Rome™ gadget.
Construction in Ancient Rome
Through a miniature of today's Colosseum (1mx80cm) with interactive panels around, visitors will learn more about the monument’s construction techniques, tools used in ancient Rome by the construction industry and many details about the world’s most famous monument.
Gladiators’ Arts
Reproductions of gladiator’s armour will be shown. Using a multilingual video, you will know the different weapons, fighting techniques and more about gladiators and their art.

Samples of scents, beauty products and hairstyles used in Ancient Rome, all these can be seen, smelt and touched in the beauty area.
Food in Ancient Rome
Finding out that many culinary tradition remained unchanged despite the centuries, such as fast food, it will be not as far as one may think. In this last part of 3DRewind Rome’ journey, with the help of multimedia tools, you can learn more about the food, drinks and recipes of the Roman era.
