Passionate about history

A tunnel which displays the architectural and archaeological content of Commodus’ passage beneath the Colosseum; the Temple of Jupiter modelled on the most recent reconstruction hypotheses; the breathtaking panorama of ancient Rome, populated, at that time, by over 1 million people.

Then the clothing, shoes, hairstyles and more. The attention paid to the reconstructions is strongly focused on the elements of daily life, with the intention of helping us understand the true way of life at that time, and showing the numerous similarities with life today.

For example, graffitti, a true passion of the Romans, have permitted us to examine the most varied of subjects, from images of gladiators to erotic scenes, to propaganda. Everyday objects, tableware, stretchers, umbrellas, jewellery, children’s toys such as yo-yos and games for adults including chess boards. All details have been modelled on existing archaeological reports.

The characters, for example, have features and statures which take into account the results of studies carried out on skeletal remains and from the examination of statues and frescoes of that period. Just as the figure of Emperor Maxentius, modelled on data from various period sources, carries with him a sceptre and his teachings, as a faithful acknowledgement of the extraordinary discovery on the Palatine in 2006.

3D Rewind Rome TM, in addition to the spectacular background of Rome’s urban structure and the splendour of its monuments, wants to offer a view of ancient Rome come alive: a reconstruction that, through the use of fantasy, brings history to life.
