Who said history is boring? Didactic suggestions for schools designed to provide educational, cultural and recreational stimulation, school trips can offer an important opportunity for growth to both students and educators. The 3D Rewind Rome experience, based on the principle of “Edutainment” provides stimulus in each of these three areas, offering schools the possibility of deepening students’ knowledge of the culture and history of ancient Rome through recreational and professional methods.
The Educational component is the fruit of over 10 years of research carried out by 2 prestigious American Universities; UCLA - University of California, Los Angeles - and the University of Virginia, in collaboration with a large group of international researchers including historians, archaeologists, art historians and architects.
The recreational aspect is enhanced through the use of the most advanced virtual archaeological technology, three dimensional stereoscopic vision equipment and state of the art scenographic apparatus.
This initiative, based on a recreational vision of learning, has found support both from the most prestigious academic figures, in particular Professor B. Frischer, the brains behind virtual archaeology, as well as international level entertainers such as Carlo Verdone and Jo Champa who accompany us through our journey in 310 AD playing respectively the roles of a commentator at the gladiator games and a vestal virgin.
